Generation of sub-three-cycle, 16-TW light pulses through noncollinear OPCPA

We present a 16-TW (7.9 fs, 130 mJ) noncollinear optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification system. This unique source can serve as seed source for PW-class lasers and by itself allows for new experiments in high-field physics.
