Abstract
- Hyperviscosity syndrome can significant increase the risk of many cardiovascular diseases. In this paper we propose a molecular communication system having the purpose of monitoring the blood viscosity. This system results to be both simple and effective for real time estimating the blood viscosity level without the need of resorting to invasive blood analyses. The essential idea is to leverage the statistics of the particle dispersion in a blood vessel as a function of blood viscosity. The viscosity estimation is essentially based on the measure the time needed to cover a given propagation range.
