Abstract

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common neoplasm entity affecting the skin. The gold standard treatment is based on complete resection of the tumor, with disease-free edges. In lesions larger than 1.5 cm and in special areas, such as the back or tip of the nose, it is challenging to perform primary closure of the lesion, so advanced closure techniques are required, such as flaps or grafts. Below is the case of a 73-year-old patient who presents with a tumor of more than 1 year of evolution, for which an advancement and rotation nasolabial flap was used, obtaining disease-free margins, with adequate closure, obtaining quite acceptable functional and aesthetic results.
