Chalybion bengalense (Dahlbom, 1845) Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Yemen (Bingham 1898 as Sceliphron violaceum (Fabricius, 1775); Kirby 1903 as S. violaceum; Kohl 1906 as Sceliphron bengalensis Dahlbom, 1845; Bohart & Menke 1976). Extralimital distribution: Australia, Bangladesh, Borneo, Burma, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Hawaii, Himalayas, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Laos,? Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Micronesia, Mozambique, Nepal, New Caledonia, Philippines, Seychelles, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Tanzania, Vietnam.
