Abstract
- It is well known that Fe is the only impurity atom which exhibits Pauli paramagnetism below the Neel temperature of a dilutely doped Cr host. Magnetic measurements on two complementary Cr alloys now reveal that the Fe moment is about 6% larger in the incommensurate than in the commensurate spin-density wave state. A phenomenological model is presented which explains this difference by dividing the Fe moment into bound and unbound parts.
