Abstract
- The presence of an aerosol layer over a nonuniform surface causes the blurring effect in remotely sensed images. In principle from the study of this effect it seems to be possible to evaluate aerosol properties. In this paper an aerosol layer superimposed on a surface with 1-D periodical variation in reflectivity and with half plane reflectivity variation is considered, in the single scattering approximation.
