Asi, esta obra presenta la legislacion brasilena relevante, las politicas publicas de defensa sanitaria y los mecanismos de control de zoonosis. Tambien examina las normas aplicables a los llamados “animales de granja”, en paralelo con la proteccion de los llamados “animales de compania” bajo el nuevo paradigma de politica publica llamado “guarda responsable” que los autores proponen como un rompedor concepto en comparacion con el de “tenencia responsable”, recurriendo al Derecho Comparado para presentar aspectos relacionados con el mismo tema en Italia, Suiza, Argentina y Chile. EnglishThe book entitled “Direito da Saude Animal” (in English language: Animal Health Law), written in Portuguese language by Luciano Rocha Santana and Thiago Pires Oliveira, brings together three chapters on various animal health issues in the light of Animal Law. So, this work shows the relevant Brazilian legislation about animal health surveillance and control of zoonoses. After examining the rules applicable to the so-called “farm animals”, in parallel with the protection of the so-called “companion animals” under the new public policy paradigm named “responsible guardianship” that the authors propose as a groundbreaking concept in comparison with “responsible ownership”, using Comparative Law to present aspects related to the same issue in Italy, Switzerland, Argentina and Chile.
