Abstract
- BACKGROUND: Our objective is to evaluate the application values and effects of nanocarbon negative imaging technology in surgery for patients with the fifth stage of chronic kidney disease complicated with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT). METHODS: Eighty-nine patients with SHPT in the fifth stage of chronic kidney disease admitted to the Department of Thyroid and Breast Surgery at the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University between January 2018 and August 2020 were selected. All patients underwent total parathyroidectomy (tPTX) and were randomly divided into a group receiving nanocarbon (observation group; group A) and a control group (group B). Patients were followed up for 6 months after surgery and several observation indexes were compared and analyzed. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the parathyroid glands in the observation group treated with nanocarbon were more clearly exposed, and better performances were seen in the operation time, blood loss, and recovery rate of bone pain (P
