Abstract

Renealmia monostachia Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 287. 1753. "Habitat in America meridionali." RCN: 2278. Basionym of: Tillandsia monostachia (L.) L. (1762). Type not designated. Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 403.2 (LINN); [icon] in Plumier in Burman, Pl. Amer.: 233, t. 238, f. 1. 1760. Current name: Guzmania monostachia (L.) Mez (Bromeliaceae). Note: Smith & Downs (in Fl.
