Abstract
- Calcium channel blocker (CCB) therapy has an established role in the treatment of hypertension, but in a small proportion of patients, the side effect profile of these drugs may limit their use. The commonest clinical adverse effects include ankle swelling, flushing, headache, palpitations and constipation. We describe an unusual case where ankle swelling was associated with bilateral achilles tendonitis.
