Abstract

[EN] Mesoporous silica microparticles capped with TTF moieties and containing a ruthenium dye in the pores were used for the turn-on optical detection of the nitroaromatic explosives Tetryl and TNT via a selective pore uncapping and release of the entrapped dye.<br />Financial support from the Spanish Government (project MAT2012-38429-C04-01) and the Generalitat Valencia (project PROMETEO/2009/016) is gratefully acknowledged. Y.S. is grateful to the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation for her grant. J.O.J. gratefully acknowledge financial support provided by the Villum Foundation and the Danish Natural Science Research Council (#11-106744).
