Abstract
- Benign cementoblastoma, first described by Dewey in 1927, 1 is an odontogenic tumor of mesenchymal origin characterized by proliferation of the cellular cementum. 2 It is a rare odontogenic tumor 3 that almost always occurs in the premolar or molar region and more commonly in the mandible than in the maxilla. 2,4-8 We present an unusual case of benign cementoblastoma in the anterior maxilla.
