Abstract
- Pison atrum (Spinola, 1808) (Figure 11 a-e) Alyson ater Spinola, 1808: 253, sex not cited. Diagnosis Body (including antennae and legs) entirely shiny black (Figure 11 (a–c,e)); head and thorax are densely punctate, that are rugose-punctate on face (Figure 11 (e)); dorsal ocelli separated from eyes by a distance shorter than midocellus diameter (Figure 11 (b)); clypeus convex, with sharp protrusion apico-medially (Figure 11 (c)), densely clothed with fine whitish setae (Figure 11 (b)); mesoscutum and scutellum densely coarsely punctate, metanotum finely punctate; propodeum with middle broadly crenulate sulcus, densely coarsely setiferous punctate around (Figure 11 (e)); fore wing with three submarginal cells, of which the second petiolate on radius (Figure 11 (d)); gaster very finely punctate.<br />Published as part of Gadallah, Neveen S., Abu El-Ghiet, Usama M. & Edmardash, Yusuf A., 2021, New data on the crabronid fauna of Saudi Arabia (Hymenoptera: Apoidea (Spheciformes): Crabronidae) from Jazan Province, with the description of three new species and the hitherto unknown male of Miscophus chrysis Kohl, 1894, pp. 1697-1748 in Journal of Natural History 55 (27 - 28) on page 1720, DOI: 10.1080/00222933.2021.1955993, http://zenodo.org/record/5530026
