Transpetrous spread of acoustic neuroma into the middle cranial fossa: report of two cases

Abstract
- We report two patients with acoustic neuromas which spread upwards through the petrous temporal bone into the middle fossa as well as medially through the porus acousticus into the posterior fossa. There appear to be no previous reports of such transpetrous spread of an acoustic neuroma.
