Competence-based approach to the professional training of teachers

professional competence of an expert is a prominent level of his/her integrated philosophical, sociological, culturological knowledge, and skill, ability and willingness to use them in his/her work. Professional activity of a teacher is provided by his/her competence, level, and quality of formed professional competences. The article presents the main point, content of professional competence of a teacher. It also describes some conditions, ways, methods, and results of research work on the forming of professional competences of student teachers in the Pedagogical Institute of M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University.
