Abstract
- Survival curves were established for Escherichia coli b/r (CSH). Cells were then inoculated into media containing 50, 100, 200, and 300 mu g/ml of 5- bromodeoxyuridine (5-BUDR). Treatment with increasing amounts of 5-BUDR was followed by a decrease in radioresistance. A second series of cultures was supplemented with 100 mu g/ml of 5BUDR during log phase. A decrease in radioresistance proportional to the number of cell divisions in the presence of 5- BUDR was observed. (H.M.G.)
