Abstract

We report the results of a search for [ital CP]-violating decay rate asymmetries ([ital A][sub [ital CP]]) in the charm decay modes [ital D][sup +][r arrow][ital K][sup [minus]][ital K][sup +][pi][sup +], [ital D][sup +][r arrow][ital [bar K]][sup *0][ital K][sup +], [ital D][sup +][r arrow][phi][pi][sup +], and [ital D][sup 0][r arrow][ital K][sup +][ital K][sup [minus]]. Our measurements are all consistent with zero asymmetry: [ital A][sub [ital CP]]([ital KK][pi])=[minus]0.031[plus minus]0.068, [ital A][sub [ital CP]]([ital K][sup *][ital K])=[minus]0.12[plus minus]0.13, [ital A][sub [ital CP]]([phi][pi])=0.066[plus minus]0.086, and [ital A][sub [ital CP]]([ital KK])=0.024[plus minus]0.084. The data were accumulated by the Fermilab high energy photoproduction experiment E687.
