Abstract
- General perceptions of women (who recently have given birth) of the nursing care quality process during the immediate postpartum period is an excellent qualification for the professional practice. Taking into account that perception may vary according to many parameters, a qualitative research of descriptive and cross-sectional observational was designed and applied in this study. This research was conducted at the Obstetric Centre at the San Vicente de Paul Hospital, Ibarra, Ecuador. 97% of the patients evaluated the nursing care as “adapted” and 79% referred to it as positive perception (majority in eutocic birth). The neutral perception was higher in dystocic birth patients.
