Abstract

Syspira jimmyi Brescovit, S��nchez-Ruiz & Bonaldo Figures 2, 9 Syspira jimmyi Brescovit, S��nchez-Ruiz & Bonaldo, 2018: 59, figs 3, 4, 7. Male holotype (IBSP 168419) and female paratype (IBSP 168420) from Parque Nacional Valle Nuevo, 18��41���11.9N ��� 70��35���37.4W, 2041 m, 15 km of Constanza, Province La Vega, Cibao Sur, Dominican Republic, 11.IV.2015, A. S��nchez-Ruiz & J. Cabra, examined. Diagnosis. Males of S. jimmyi are easily distinguished from other Hispaniolan species by the sickle-shaped RTA (Fig. 2C) and by the median apophysis with bifurcated tip (Fig. 2A; Brescovit et al. 2018: fig. 4C). Females resemble those of S. cimitarra by the enlarged atrium (Fig. 2D ��� E), but can be distinguished by the dorsal median plate rounded at the distal edge, epigynal posterior plates narrower, barely exceeding the atrial lateral dorsal folds (Fig. 2D ��� E, Brescovit et al. 2018: fig. 3C ��� D). Description. Male and female described by Brescovit et al. (2018). Distribution.
