Abstract: Halal pharmaceuticals are medicines permitted by Shariah law, and refers to medicines that do not contain any parts of animals that are categorised as haram (dogs, pigs, and ones with pointed teeth), alcohol, and other substances/preparations/extraction methods that are prohibited as ‘haram’ under Shariah law.(1)
