Abstract
- Sensitized adult rat spleen lymphocytes and macrophages were irradiated in vivo with 10, 50, 100, or 200 rads of 120 kVp x rays. The lymphocyte-macrophage migration inhibition test was used to determine alterations in mammalian cell function due to x irradiation. It was found that cell migration decreased as x radiation increased, but the ability of lymphocytes to recognize the antigen to which they had been sensitized was not abolished.
