Abstract

International audience; the paper describes an application of themagnetic potential based so-called “A-model” to evaluatemagneto harmonic effects in round hollow and clad metalsconductors. These technologies of conductors showinteresting properties to maximize the energy efficiency ofwindings. However, beside Finite Element Methodsimulation no analytical modeling makes it possible tosimulate with accuracy those windings. The A-methodbased on analytical solution without any object meshing, isextended for these two new geometries and reflectsaccurately the electromagnetic behavior of the analyzedconductors. The mathematical basics are reminded, thenthe extension for hollow and clad metal conductors in 2Dspace is presented and chosen applications are also shown. The results have been validated by comparison with FEMsimulation.
