6-thioguanine nucleotide monitoring in azathioprine and mercaptopurine monotherapy for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To determine the efficacy and safety of a 6‐thioguanine nucleotide (6‐TGN) metabolite‐based dosing strategy for maintenance of remission using azathioprine or mercaptopurine in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
