Abstract
- The corrosion of steel in clay soil at m.c. 15 % has been studied for a long exposure time by electrochemical methods, A.c. impedance measurements results show that at a short exposure time the corrosion process is controlled by the diffusion of H + coupled with a rate determining homogeneous reaction, whereas at a long exposure time the process is controlled by pure diffusion. We have hypothesized that the rate determining homogeneous reaction might be the clay particles cations exchange.
