Abstract
- Several dermoscopic criteria for diagnosing BCC have been identified over the last years with the aim to help recognition of the tumour among others entities. However, few literature data are available regarding the identification of specific diagnostic criteria of small size BCCs OBJECTIVES: the aims of this study were 1) to investigate whether small size BCCs (5 mm) in a consecutive cohort of excised lesions and 2) to explore whether small BCCs belong to distinct histologic subtype METHODS: Histopathologically proven BCCs with a full set of clinical and dermoscopic images were retrieved in order to have a case-control study of small (5mm in size) tumors.
