Highlights • Pre workshop international survey on MPV • Best practice guidline on the provision of MPV in NMD's by reviewing and recommend the most appropriate monitoring, mode, settings and equipment required for MPV. • Best practice algorithm on MPV for daytime ventilatory support (see Figure 1 ).Figure 1Figure 1 shows the best practice algorithm for the initiation of mouthpiece ventilation (MPV) in the long-term setting.
