Abstract
- We describe a rare case of metastatic Müllerian tumor originating from the peritoneum assessed by F-FDG PET/CT. A 52-year-old female patient underwent F-FDG PET/CT for metabolic characterization of a right pelvic lesion. PET/CT revealed increased F-FDG uptake corresponding to a 3-cm lesion located behind the right anterior pelvic wall. Furthermore, increased F-FDG uptake in a right external iliac lymph node was detected. Based on these F-FDG PET/CT findings, the patient underwent resection of the pelvic lesion and the right external iliac lymph node. Histology demonstrated a clear cell carcinoma of the Müllerian system originating from the peritoneum with lymph nodal metastasis.
