Educação de jovens e adultos e educação popular: um estudo sobre produções em periódicos

The article aims to situate the results of the survey of articles in periodicals evaluated by the Qualis System of CAPES (Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Ensino Superior), with studies on Youth and Adult Education and Popular Education. In methodological terms it is a state of knowledge, since it involves only one source of survey, that is, articles in periodicals. The articles were selected using the descriptor "Youth and Adult Education and Popular Education", being analyzed both the abstracts and the texts in their entirety, besides the references, and 17 were selected and studied, characterizing the production in the period from 2003 to 2017. The titles of the articles pointed to studies on the interface between Youth and Adult Education and Popular Education, as well as youth and adult education and popular education in isolation. The object of study of the articles was organized into three thematic axes: Youth and Adult Education, Education of Paulo Freire and Popular Culture, which were grouped in subtopics: a) public policies, Popular Education, History, university extension, Environmental Education and Geography; b) theater and culture and art and literature; (c) popular religious manifestations, pointing to an interaction with various areas of education. Paulo Freire is the most cited author, evidencing the importance of his educational thinking in the Youth and Adult Education and in Popular Education.
