Abstract
- This research is a Classroom Action Research which aims to enhance physics learning outcomes through a problem-based learning model. 39 students from class X at TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe in the odd semester of the academic year served as the subjects of this study. The research was carried out over two cycles and included the following four activities: arranging, executing activities, observing and reflecting. There were two meetings in Cycle I, and there were three meetings in Cycle II. This study used an observation sheet to collect information about teaching and learning situations as well as data on students' physics learning outcomes from the tests taken for each cycle. The results of the quantitative analysis using the learning outcomes test in the evaluation of physics subjects in cycle I revealed that 14 students achieved scores above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), or 35.90 percent. There were 32 students in cycle II who scored higher than the KKM, or 82.05 percent. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that using the Problem-Based Learning Model can improve the physics learning outcomes of grade X students of TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe on the work and energy lesson
