Bathynotalia LEVENSTEIN 1982

BATHYNOTALIA LEVENSTEIN, 1982 A Type species: Bathynotalia perplexa Levenstein,1982a. The genus is monotypic. Bathynotalia perplexa was originally classified as Macellicephalinae, but Pettibone (1985c, d, 1989c) referred to it as Polynoinae based on the figure of the prostomium having lateral antennae. We followed the interpretation of Pettibone because the description in Russian was not available. However, the specimens should be re-examined to confirm the classification.
