Abstract

Department of Chemistry, D. A. V. (P. G.) College, Dehra Dan-248 001 Manuscript received 13 October 1980, revised 9 March 1981, accepted 13 April 1981 Several new [(substituted-2-benzothiazolyl) carbamoyl]methyl dithiocarbanilates and [(substituted-2-benzothiazolyl) carbamoyl]methyl-o, \({m}\) or \({p}\)-chloro dithiocarbanilates have been prepared by condensing the ammonium salt of aryl dithiocarbamic acid with chloroacetylamino (substituted) benzothiazoles in dry acetone. Their structure was established on the basis of ir and nmr spectra and elemental analysis. Some of them show insecticidal and fungicidal properties.
