Microwave-assisted Cu (I) Catalyzed Solvent-free Three Component Coupling of Aldehyde, Alkyne and Amine

Direct Grignard type addition of terminal alkynes to in situ generated imines, from aldehydes and amines, occurs under microwave irradiation using CuBr alone in a one-pot operation. This solventless approach provides ready access to propargylamines and is applicable both to aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes.
