Abstract

Lestomerus varipes Fallou, 1891 Original data: “ Venezuela ” (Fallou 1891: 10). Types: Syntype 1 ♂: “ SYNTYPE ” // “venezuela” // “ varipes Fallou ” // “ MUSEUM PARIS COLL. G. FALLOU 259-95” (Fig. 36). Syntypes 2 ♀♀: same label information as above. Type locality: Venezuela. Current status: Junior synonym of Rasahus hamatus (Fabricius, 1781) (Bergroth 1892: 263, Champion 1899: 217). Remarks. As for the previous species, Fallou (1891: 10) didn’t designate a holotype and didn’t mention the number of specimens. Villiers labelled himself these three specimens as “ Syntype ”, added printed labels from MNHN and transferred the specimens from the Fallou’s collection to the general collection.
Published as part of Liu, Yingqi, Pluot-Sigwalt, Dominique, Guilbert, Eric & Cai, Wanzhi, 2022, Catalogue of type specimens of Peiratinae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae) preserved in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, pp. 1-85 in Zootaxa 5110 (1) on page 46, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5110.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/6340419
{"references":["Fallou, G.
