Abstract
- An asymptomatic 73-year-old man underwent a follow-up colonoscopy after a right hemicolectomy for advanced cancer. A larva was incidentally observed, the head of which was inserted into the ileal mucosa near the anastomosis. Mild mucosal oedema with erosions was observed in the mucosa surrounding the larva (figure 1A,B). The larva was removed with endoscopic forceps and identified as an anisakid larva.
