Abstract

Coendou prehensilis (Linnaeus, 1758). Syst. Nat., 10th ed., 1:57. TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Pernambuco. DISTRIBUTION: E Venezuela, Guyanas, C and E Brazil, Bolivia, Trinidad (see Goodwin and Greenhall, 1961:202). Lives up to 1,500 m in elevation. SYNONYMS: boliviensis, brandtii, centralis, cuandu, longicatus, platycentrotus.<br />Published as part of Charles A.
