Abstract: Multi-bandphotometrictransitobservationsorlowresolutionspectroscopy(spectro-photometry)arenormallyusedtoretrievethebroadbandtransmissionspectraoftransitingexoplanetsinordertoassessthechemicalcompositionoftheiratmospheres.Here,wepresentanalternativeapproachforrecoveringthebroadbandtransmissionspectrausingchromaticDopplerTomography.Tovalidatethemethodandexamineitsperformance,weusednewobservationaldataobtainedwiththeESPRESSOinstrumenttoretrievethe transmissionspectraofthearchetypalhotJupiterHD209458b.Ourfindingsindicatethattherecoveredtransmissionspectrumisingoodagreementwiththeresultspresentedinpreviousstudies,whichuseddifferentmethodologiestoextractthespectrum.
