CURRENT STATUS: Valid subgenus of Lepidodexia Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891 [teste Pape (1996: 235)]. FAMILY: SARCOPHAGIDAE. [Labidigaster] Coquillett, 1898e: 234. CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Labigastera Macquart, 1834 or subsequent usage of Labidigaster Macquart, 1844. FAMILY: TACHINIDAE. REMARKS: Criteria to make this name available as an emendation were not found to be fulfilled in this work. The earliest mention of Labigastera Macquart, 1834 that I have found in this study using the spelling “ Labidigaster ” is Labidigaster Macquart, 1844 as an unjustified emendation [teste Evenhuis et al. (2016: 74)].
