Abstract
- This work is dedicated to the theoretical and experimental study of a new type of eddy current transducer developed to measure the thickness of the metallic protective coating on ferromagnetic steel wires. The transducer is of send-receive type. The emission part generates a rotating magnetic field while the reception part consists of a number of coils surrounding the wire. The transducer is connected to an eddy current control installation with rotating magnetic field of multiplied input stages.
