Minimal HPT Axis Model: Supplementary Information

A minimal mathematical model, in the form of a parametrized nonlinear dynamical system of 4 ODEs, is formulated as a proof-of-concept to elucidate principles of hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis regulation. The model allows uncovering mechanisms for the homeostasis of the key biologically active hormone free triiodothyronine (FT3).
