A hospitalidade no destino turístico Rio de Janeiro: a percepção do turista intercambista da Universidade Federal Fluminense

Abstract
- Rio de Janeiro is a touristic city internationally famous and related to different images by foreigners as: “Wonderful City”, Carnival city and, more recently, hospitable city. This status has been found in recent researches, usually with tourists whose motivation is leisure and that are enchanted with their trip. The group of exchange tourists it’s been considered as temporary residents of a destiny. They can have a perception more detailed of there. Besides, these tourists end up been image promoters of this destination and as they feel welcomed they will pass along that picture in their home country. So, it’s necessary to understand if the destiny of Rio de Janeiro is really hospitable, especially the touristic places and their people. Therefore this research has as a main purpose to analyze the hospitality of the touristic places in the city of Rio de Janeiro by the look of exchange tourists who studies at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). This study methodology was descriptive using different techniques: a survey (a questionary with 54 exchange tourists), a qualitative research (loosely structured interviews for six exchange tourists) and a qualitatively data analyze based on the bibliographic study. The exchange tourists of UFF said there were evidences of hospitality at the touristic places of Rio de Janeiro, however all the categories – accessibility, legibility and identity – need to be improved. They also indicated the locals as a kind people with foreigners.
