D4.4 ��� Environmental impact assessment for the installation (NOEL) site report

The report has been produced as the result of the Task 4.3 (WP4) of the Blue Growth Farm contract which scope was to assess the environmental impact for the installation at NOELsite, including the permitting process. The document reports technical description of the aero/hydro prototype andtechnical details of the bathymetry of the concerned site, as well asthe reference site maps and the applicable landscape planning. Then itdescribes the environmental baseline,the seabed characteristics andreports the information about local benthos,local wildlife (birds) andsynthetizes interference with human activities at site. The legal framework is outlined andthe use and protection plan of the concerned area is defined. The expected impacts consequent to the prototype deployment and temporal presence on site, as well as mitigation actions are finally presented.
