Abstract

Almost half of private primary care services and slimming clinics in England aren’t providing safe care, the country’s healthcare regulator has warned. For its new report the Care Quality Commission analysed a sample of inspection reports of private primary medical care services, including general practice services and specialist clinics.1 Safety was identified as the biggest problem across the private primary care sector.
