Abstract
- The Antalo Supersequence, a marly-carbonatic marine succession of Jurassic age (Upper Oxfordian-Kimmeridgian; ca. 160–150 million years old), is widely outcropping in Dogu’a Tembien and the wider western part of the Mekelle Outlier (Chap. 2). Hence the landscape is characterised by the occurrence of various karst landforms including caves, speleothems, karren or lapiez, and a large number of relict tufa dams.
