Abstract
- Several pathological conditions carry high risk of bone fracture which is associated to high economic and healthy costs. In order to improve understanding the bone microarchitecture, this work aims to evaluate the accuracy of the bone analysis methodology and compare it to the reference standard under different imaging modalities. The results indicate that there is a good relation between the analysis of the bone analysis methodology obtained from the MDCT and MR scans and these modalities can be used for bone quality assessment in clinical practice.
