Abstract
- Foenatopus priyae (Narendran & Sureshan, 2003) Diastephanus priyae Narendran & Sureshan, 2003, Entomon, 28(2), 116���118. Type material. Holotype &female;, India: Kerala Thrissur district, Thrissur (10�� 31��� N & 76�� 12��� E, 2.8 m), 12.vi.1999, Coll. Priya Menon. Paratype 4&male;, same data as holotype, 19.iv.1999, (ZSIK) (Type specimen missing). Diagnosis. Body length 12.4 mm, ovipositor sheath length 8.8 mm. Frons trans-striate with longitudinal and oblique striae; vertex with four striae followed by fine striae, not forming any longitudinal medial line or grove; neck trans-striate dorsally; mesoscutum smooth anteriorly, faintly reticulate with shallow pits and reticulate interstices at sides; scutellum and axillae almost smooth and shiny with a few scattered pits on sides; metapleuron rugose-reticulate; propodeum with broad deep pits and shagreened interstices; hind coxa and femora reticulate and transverse striate proximally turning transversely striate distally; hind femora ventrally tridentate with two denticles basally; first metasomal tergite trans-carinate as long as remaining segments combined; ovipositor sheath distinctly longer than metasoma, with a subapical pale ivory patch. Male. Body length 7���10 mm. Similar to females except lower frons and face yellow, vertex with three and rarely four carinae; first metasomal tergite 1.1���1.3�� length of remaining segments. Distribution. Oriental: India (Kerala). Host. Unknown. Note.
