Abstract

3 pags., 1 tab.<br />We present accurate measurements for the wavenumbers of the S(0), S(1), and S(2) pure rotational Raman lines in D. Our measurements improve the accuracy of the previously available experimental data by an order of magnitude. They also show complete agreement with the state-of-the-art ab initio calculations of the D rotational splitting, which include both relativistic and Quantum electrodynamics (QED) corrections.<br />R.
