Abstract

Noctilio albiventris Desmarest 1818 Distribution. From southern Mexico to Guianas, eastern Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, and northern Argentina. Occurs in the Brazilian states of Acre, Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Piauí, Paraná, Roraima, and São Paulo (Reis et al. 2007). Habitat. This species inhabits mesic tropical forest environments, foraging over streams, lakes, rivers, and marshes, and roosting in hollow trees and buildings (Hood & Pitocchelli 1983).The specimens were captured with mist nets in a sandy portion of the edge of the São Domingos River (12° 54’ 50.8” S, 47° 34’ 0.7” W), in Paranã, TO. Voucher specimens. Three females – CHUNB 1211, 1212, and 1213; one male – CHUNB 1221.<br />Published as part of Bezerra, Alexandra M.
