Abstract
- A woman presented with acute bilateral loin pain and anuria. An unenhanced spiral CT revealed bilateral renal obstruction and a calculus within the left ureter. After the insertion of a stent into the left ureter, a diuretic renal scan and a contrast-enhanced CT scan showed a calculus at the anastomosis of a right transureteroureterostomy and relief of the obstruction. This case illustrates bilateral obstructive uropathy caused by a solitary ureteric calculus.
