Abstract

Peganum dauricum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 445. 1753. "Habitat in Sibiria." RCN: 3455. Neotype (Townsend in Hookers Icon. Pl. 40(1-3): 37. 1986): [icon] "Ruta foliis simplicibus alternis" in Gmelin, Fl. Sibirica 4: 176, t. 68, f. 1. 1769. Current name: Haplophyllum dauricum (L.) G. Don (Rutaceae). Note: Townsend treated an uncited Gmelin plate as an isolectotype as he had failed to locate any Gmelin material. In the absence of any original material, Townsend s choice is treated as a neotypification under Art. 9.8.<br />Published as part of Jarvis, Charlie, 2007, Chapter 7: Linnaean Plant Names and their Types (part P), pp. 718-782 in Order out of Chaos.
