The concept of situation awareness is increasingly a focus of discussion and research in health. But what relevance, if any, does it have for the education of health practitioners? Well, a lot really. Just as we have seen in a range of non-health disciplines, the contextualisation and application of situation awareness to specific health practices can contribute significantly to education in the sector.
